Court-Requested In-Car Driving Evaluation
Ottawa Area | $300 + HST ($339 Total) | By Appointment Only
MSJL Training provides in-car driving evaluations exclusively when specifically requested by a Prosecutor or Legal Representative as an additional component of the Advanced Driver Awareness Course.
Applicants must have successfully completed, or be registered for, MSJL Training’s Advanced Driver Awareness Online Course.
The in-car evaluation can only be conducted following successful completion of the online course.
About the Evaluation
The evaluation is conducted by a qualified driving instructor in the applicant’s own vehicle under normal driving conditions.
The instructor will observe driving habits, hazard awareness, vehicle control, decision-making, compliance with traffic laws, and the application of defensive driving principles.
Following the evaluation, the instructor will prepare a written assessment documenting their observations and overall assessment of the applicant’s driving performance at the time of the evaluation.
Vehicle and Licensing Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid, full driver’s licence (Ontario Class G or equivalent).
- Provide their own properly registered and insured vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and meets all legal requirements for operation on public roads.
The instructor reserves the right to decline or discontinue the evaluation if licensing, insurance, or vehicle safety requirements are not met.
Scheduling and Payment
All evaluations are conducted in the Ottawa, Ontario area and scheduled based on the mutual availability of the applicant and driving instructor.
The fee is $300 plus HST ($339 total), payable by Interac e-Transfer and paid in full prior to assessment scheduling.
Payment instructions will be provided following review of the registration request.
